THERION Guitar To Be Sold
December 2, 2004Sweden's THERION have updated their official web site with the following message:
"As you most probably have already heard, Chris' [Johnsson, THERION frontman] guitar was stolen at the Slovenian gig, and there was some talk of cancelling the rest of the tour because of that. There was also talk about Chris buying a new guitar and simply moving along, while the Slovenian gig organiser offered a 1000 Euro reward for information leading to the person that stole the guitar. Hopefully for all of us Chris indeed decided not to cancel the tour, and finally there are some good news concerning the guitar as well. Chris' guitar hereby is confirmed being recovered by the Slovenian police! The custom built guitar case was missing, but a new one is being produced at this very moment. Then the guitar will be sent home to Chris again! Hoever, Chris got very attached to the new black Custom Les Paul that he bought and used for the second half of the tour after the theft, so he decided to keep it and instead sell his Les Paul Classic (Sunburst),the one used to record 'Lemuria' and 'Sirius B'. Hey — here's your chance to buy one of Chris guitars! I'll bet he won't mind signing it as well!"
